The honeycomb pandan cake is enough to warrant 5 stars. The most buttery squishy cake. I always think to myself if I can brave the traffic and parking situation at viet town to get some more. The guava mochi cake was also phenomena! We walked in at closing time and the ladies had already packaged everything up. Luckily they were willing to sell to us anyway. It kinda felt like I was at a stall in Vietnam cuz they were all trying to get me to buy more than I bargained for. And I'm do glad they did cuz I came home with a bounty! If only I could get down there more often, I would. These ladies know how to bake!

I've been wanting to try this place for a long time now, but haven't gotten the chance til now since it's only open in the afternoon from Thursday to Sundays. There was a short line when we got here around 2pm on a Saturday, but the line moved super quickly with 2 employees taking orders and another 2 serving orders. This place is togo only, and they'll give you a nice box and plastic bag to hold your pastries so that they don't get crushed. I got the ube croissant and durian egg tart. They gave me a durian choux by accident but were nice to still give me the egg tart afterwards. The ube croissant was huge and flaky. The ube cream wasn't super sweet and not overwhelmingly thick. Meanwhile, the durian egg tart and choux definitely tasted strongly of durian, and I especially liked the durian cream inside of the choux.

Parking is always a bit difficult to find in this area. We came here around 1:30pm on Saturday and it was pretty crowded outside the store with a short line. We got a Portuguese egg tart, Kaya egg tart, ube croissant, hojicha choux, and espresso cookie. We enjoyed all of the pastries, and the espresso cookie and ube croissant were my favorite. The two egg tarts didn't seem to have much of a difference in flavor. I'd come back again to try other items!

Fresh Asian flavored pastries! Pandan egg tart and Portuguese egg tart was yum! Winner here for me was their cassava cake. Their pandan croissant custard was solid. Croissant could use a little bit more fluffiness - a bit hard/not as fresh as other croissants I've had. They rotate their menu, but their egg tarts are always there. Quick order and pick up. The shop doesn't let you in at the moment. You just order at their door.

Thanks to the many awesome recommendations and pics from fellow yelpers, we came by to check this place out. We didn't realize they were near closing and we saw their coconut buns and honeycomb cakes hot and fresh from the oven. I wanted to try their croissants and egg tarts but the 2 ladies there said they're all sold out and about to close. (Thats when we realized they were closing and we happened to walk in as they were prepping to close). They were nice enough to still sell us the buns and honeycomb cake as we said we literally just got there from SoCal! I will say...perhaps we never had these literally fresh out of the oven in LA and why they were sooo deliciously soft and fluffy but they were still just as good as the moment we bought them the next day!! One of the best I ever had!! Oh I will miss delicious morsels n will get definitely get a few more if i ever go back to visit NorCal! Alongside the egg tarts and all the other items next time!! Or perhaps, they can open one is SoCal one day! Place was clean and nice. Service was great and parking was plentiful. A bit costly in my opinion but totally worth it!!

Service: We were able to place and receive our order quickly. Someone took our order at the door on the tablet. When our order was ready, someone brought out a box of warm egg tarts. Food: We only ordered their Kaya and Durian egg tarts. I would pass on the Kaya tarts - they didn't really taste like pandan at all despite the vibrant green color. The durian tart was very intense in flavor and is worth a try if you like durian. I'd like to try their other pastries, especially their choux (cream puffs) and croissants.

Got these as a gift and it was pretty good! I go to the plaza often, but usually haven't made my way to CA Bakehouse because of a line. But I wouldn't mind stopping by the next time I'm in the area. The only thing that is tough is finding parking in this plaza over the weekend. But overall I really liked the egg tarts the most. The Portuguese and the Kaya egg tarts were spot on and a perfect pairing with coffee.

CA Bakehouse has a variety of pastries and baked goods with Asian-inspired flavors like Durian, Pandan, Ube, and more! They're a popular spot and there was a line formed outside the shop. Next time, we'll order online beforehand. We ordered the Kaya Croissant, Kaya Egg Tart, Portuguese Egg Tart, and Pandan Cake. I only tried the Kaya Egg Tart since I also got some food from TP Bao 5, but my siblings said they enjoyed the other pastries as well. I definitely would come back to try more of their pastries and drinks too!

CA Bakehouse's croissants are literally heaven! Perfectly flaky and buttery. Their morning bun is worth getting up early for
